House selling.

Wow, how difficult is this?!! We should have put the house on the market last January, but circumstances meant that we couldn't at the time. We eventually took the plunge in June, but with the World Cup and summer holidays, things were very, very slow.

All of a sudden, September saw a rush of viewings. Compared to 3 viewings over the whole summer months, we now had 3 in one week! This resulted in one offer (very low and refused - cheek!) another person interested and another offer the next day. We accepted the second offer, but this buyer was stuck in a chain. Then another buyer comes in, likes the place and they too put an offer in. It has dragged on now, but at last we can see the SOLD sign in the front garden!! Just hoping that there are no last minute hitches now and we will be ready to go.....

My first post.

Well, I tried it before, but it got mixed up with Jan's, (my wife) - but I now have my own blog.

And, as you may already have guessed, the main theme is our impending move away from UK to New Zealand, a mere move of 12000 miles or so, don't do anything in halves us eh?

It has been a bit of a bumpy ride, but one that is now nearing it's end. Is it scary? You bet! But we have our reasons for doing it, the main one being for the benefit of our two lovely children, Kieran and Louisa.

We have the visas, the house is on the market, and we are gearing up to moving lock, stock and barrel to the southern hemisphere. Let's hope we can make a good go of it because we are putting our necks on the line.....
